In school they used to abuse this girl and told her the most horrible things. Five years later, she gets her revenge in the best possible way

Different is beautiful

Did you know that the French call a "mole" a "beauty spot"? These small blemishes that appear on the skin, produced by an excess of pigmentation, can be seen as something ugly or, in the case of model Cindy Crawford for example, something that gives you personality and makes you stand out from the crowd. The problem for Evita Delmundo from Malaysia was that her moles made her stand out too much.

Evita had always looked different: a large number of moles cover her body from head to toe. When she was at school, some of the other children would call her "monster" or "chocolate chip cookie." She has moles on her face and her lips, some with hair, and for that, nobody wanted to be her friend. When she asked her doctors if she could remove the moles, they told told her the operation could put her health at risk.

But instead of giving up and developing a complex, Evita has been able to take revenge on those who made fun of her in the best possible way – by embracing her imperfections. When she was 16, she attended a church camp where she realized that if she was strong enough and loved herself, it did not matter what others thought of her.

In fact, her confidence has now increased so much that she has applied to be the Malaysian candidate in this year's Miss Universe pageant. We have no way of knowing if the judges will recognize her unique beauty, but having found the strength to apply already makes her a winner in our book.

Her Instagram account has more than 60,000 followers, who not only follow her for her looks, but for her inspiring and positive attitude. As she says, "Beauty is not just what's on the outside; it's not someone with the perfect face or the perfect body. Beauty is who you are as a person and how you love yourself. It's never about perfection."

And what do you think? Many people would argue that "perfection" is impossible, not to mention boring. And life is too short to worry about what others think of your appearance... Hopefully Evita's example will inspire many!
